User Management

Overview of User Accounts Privileges

The ECS User Management Model is based on the following three general user groups: Administrator, Standard User and Restricted User. Each group has an allowed set of privileges to execute ECS functions, with the Administrator's set being the most expansive. These ECS privileges are detailed in the following table mapped against each of the three basic user groups.

Default access after installation

The ECS comes with a default account which has username "admin" and password "admin". This account has "Administrator" privileges. It is strongly recommended that you change the password for this account immediately on first login. It is even better to make another account with "Administrator" privileges, log in on that account and delete the "admin" account.
